Making the Case for Print Books in Libraries
Bexar County, Texas has built a $2.3 million library — with no physical books. Every book available in the BiblioTech is digital, and self-described “grumpy old man” Glenn Fleishman, author of numerous Take Control ebooks himself and publisher of The Magazine, doesn’t like it. Fleishman outlines several problems that library ebooks have when compared with print editions, including accessibility to the poor, destructive DRM, restrictive licensing agreements, and the lack of older or obscure titles in digital formats.
Appreciate the thought that's gone into Glenn Fleishmann's article. I found two little errors, though (a link error and an incorrect book title), and want to let him know. Couldn't find a way to contact him on either The Magazine or on Medium.
You should be able to reach him via the email link on his bio page:

10,000 titles? For an entire county? I have at least that many physical books (a large % is textbooks) in my house, and it didn't require any special construction to keep the 90 year old non-building-code floor from collapsing into the basement. Even survived the Nisqually quake.
