PDFpen and PDFpenPro 6.1.5

by Agen G. N. Schmitz

Smile has released version 6.1.5 of its PDFpen [1] and PDFpenPro [2], a small update that nonetheless includes some important fixes to a few possible issues that were introduced in the last update (see “PDFpen and PDFpenPro 6.1.4 [3],” 13 February 2014). The release fixes an issue that caused password-protected PDFs to appear blank when opened, resolves several crashing bugs (including one while printing), and improves responsiveness when using a tablet with the scribble tool. Version 6.1.5 is also available for the Mac App Store versions of PDFpen and PDFpenPro [4], with the latter receiving an increased page limit to 999 when creating a PDF from HTML. ($59.95/$99.95 new with a 20 percent discount for TidBITS members [5], 52.5/53.3 MB, release notes [6])
