Why Some People Stop Wearing the Apple Watch

Analyst Ben Bajarin, working with wearable analytics firm Wristly, surveyed users who said they were dissatisfied with their Apple Watches in an attempt to tease out the main shortcomings of Apple’s smartwatch. The complaints unhappy Apple Watch owners shared were poor performance, short battery life, the watch face not always being visible, reliance on the iPhone, and the high price. Perhaps surprisingly, the most critical and least satisfied Apple Watch owners “work in tech, evaluate tech for a living, or are fairly technical.” To be clear, this study focused on dissatisfied users, but Bajarin notes that satisfied Apple Watch owners make up a much larger group.favicon follow link

This should have been the Headline!!!!!!

Apple Watch users are a much larger group than dissatisfied users.

I agree with all the shortcomings-and I like the watch anyway. Do I need it? No. Do I enjoy it (usually)? Yes. If you have some extra cash, it is a fun toy to have. But if you need a vital device to keep you connected? Not so much.

I've had mine since May and I love it. I work in tech and considered a 'techie.' My Apple Watch 'saves' me all the time. I can see who is calling without pulling out my phone, I get nudges to move after too long at my desk, I like the alerts I get about news and social media messages, I love how customizable it is... the list goes on and on. Count me as a techie who loves the Apple Watch.
