Apple today announced pricing and ship dates for the fall lineup of new iPhone and Apple Watch models, along with a 13 September 2016 release date for iOS 10 and watchOS 3. macOS Sierra will ship one week later, on 20 September 2016.
Apple will begin taking preorders for the new on 9 September 2016, and the devices will become available on 16 September 2016.
Available at starting price points of $649 and $769 respectively for a 32 GB model, the new iPhones come in silver, gold, rose gold, and Apple’s new black and jet black colors. Models with more storage are available at a higher price: $749/$869 for 128 GB and $849/$969 for 256 GB. (The storage capacity for the jet black iPhones is either 128 GB or 256 GB; there’s no 32 GB option. Apple also cautions buyers that the.)
The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will remain for sale, but their storage capacities will be bumped up from 16 GB to 32 GB and from 64 GB to 128 GB.
Apple will also begin taking orders for the new, GPS-equipped on 9 September 2016, with models available for sale on 16 September 2016. The base price is $369. The new Apple Watch Nike Plus Series 2, which also has a base price of $369, will be available in late October.
The original Apple Watch will be improved with the same dual-core processor found in the new Series 2 and be available at a base price of $269.
