Connectix Corporation has released a free updater for Virtual PC that upgrades Virtual PC 2.0, 2.0.1, or 2.1 to version 2.1.1. (See "Virtual PC 2.0: Not Just a Minor Update" in TidBITS 433 for an overview of Virtual PC.) Version 2.1.1 fixes a problem in Virtual PC's emulated clock chip so that it now correctly understands leap years and corrects a problem that sent extraneous data to the COM ports when sharing Macintosh folders or using drag & drop. The Virtual PC 2.1.1 updater is a 740K download; users of Windows 95 or 98 also need a separate 1 MB Windows updater.
