My ATV3 is connected via ethernet cable. The previous 'fix' was to disconnect the cable and use WiFi instead. I've not yet tried that workaround. However, the Remote app on an iPhone can both see and connect to an updated Apple TV. A discussion has already begun on Apple's site here - https://discussions.apple.com/message/21061570#21061570 - but no resolution to the issue has yet appeared.
