Set Password Activation Time in Snow Leopard
In Snow Leopard, you can now set an amount of time after your Mac goes to sleep or engages the screen saver before it requires a password to log back on. In Leopard, the option was simply to require the password or not. Choose among several increments, between 5 seconds and 4 hours, from System Preferences > Security.
Request New Password
Receive a new password for accessing your account
If you can’t remember or don't know the password associated with your TidBITS/Take Control account, please enter the email address that goes with your account. You will receive an email message with a freshly randomized password. After logging in with that password, you can change it to something more memorable. (If you also receive email about Take Control ebooks at this email address, requesting a new password will also reset the password for accessing your Take Control Library, so you'll want to update your password manager for www.takecontrolbooks.com too.)
