Firefox 49.0

Mozilla has updated its Firefox Web browser to version 49.0 with improved appearance of anti-aliased OS X fonts and better performance on Macs that lack hardware acceleration. It also brings controls to Reader Mode that enable you to adjust the width and line spacing of text and adds the Narrate feature to read the content of a page out loud. Finally, Firefox 49.0 ends support for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, and 10.8 Mountain Lion, along with the Skype-like Firefox Hello communication client (introduced back in late 2014; see “Firefox 34.0,” 7 December 2014).
