Code of Conduct

We encourage public discussions in comments on TidBITS articles, in the TidBITS Talk discussion forum, and in the SlackBITS group (join here). With all of them, the goal is to provide a public forum for members of the TidBITS community to ask questions, help one another, and converse about issues relating to Apple, Apple products, and products and services relevant to Apple users.

Code of Conduct

Everyone is welcome in our various forums, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, age, race, religion, or anything else—so long as they follow this code of conduct.

Considerate, respectful behavior is expected from all participants. All communications should be appropriate for a professional audience that includes people of many different backgrounds. Be kind and polite, and do not insult or put down other members. When in doubt, ask yourself if your contribution is both constructive and substantive.

The following types of behavior are unacceptable:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, and insults
  • Sexual language and imagery
  • Sexist, racist, or exclusionary comments or jokes
  • Excessive swearing
  • Anything else the organizers feel is inappropriate

If a participant engages in behavior that violates this code of conduct, the organizers may take any action they deem suitable, including warning the offender or expulsion from the group.

Thank you for helping to make TidBITS a welcoming, friendly, useful community for all!
