Carbon Copy Cloner 5.1.17

Bombich Software has released Carbon Copy Cloner 5.1.17, ensuring that creating new tasks with the menubar application now works more consistently. The drive-cloning and backup utility also addresses a small logistical change introduced in macOS 10.15.4 Catalina that could lead to errors while archiving the Preboot helper volume, fixes a user interface bug that occurred when strict volume identification was disabled for a task, resolves an issue in which CCC would report that it was unable to delete a snapshot on a rotational startup disk, ensures that unmounted disk images that were left attached are no longer listed in the sidebar, and corrects a crash that could occur in CCC’s file copier while looking for case conflicts. ($39.99 new, free update, 14.5 MB, release notes, macOS 10.10+)
