Fission 2.4.2

Rogue Amoeba has released Fission 2.4.2, fixing a rare but serious bug that caused data in the Public folder to be incorrectly deleted when saving a ringtone or publishing to SoundCloud. The audio editor also speeds up the Waveform display, improves handling of damaged or fragmented MP4 files, updates Fission’s MP3 encoder (LAME) to version 3.100 and the FLAC encoder to version 1.3.2, and improves handling of tags in Vorbis comments and QuickTime files. ($29 new from Rogue Amoeba with a 20% discount for TidBITS members, also available from Mac App Store, free update, 9.0 MB, release notes, macOS 10.10+)
