iTunes 10.6.1
Focusing on maintenance, iTunes 10.6.1 fixes several bugs that could cause iTunes to crash while playing videos, changing artwork size in Grid view, or syncing photos to a device, and it fixes the reading of interface elements when using Apple’s VoiceOver screen-access technology. It also addresses a problem where iTunes became unresponsive when syncing an iPod nano or iPod shuffle. Lastly, this iTunes update returns proper alphabetic order to TV show episodes when browsing your iTunes library from an Apple TV. Previously, when choosing to browse By Show, titles were jumbled and newer downloads tended to appear at the bottom of the list. (Free, 126.23 MB new download or 64.9 MB via
Software Update)
Since a couple of versions iTunes lacks the possibility to show more than one cover art. It was a great feature to add the cover art and the scanned credit info or booklet backside. While playing one could switch between these items. Unfortunately that feature was disabled (was it a bug or a feature?). Via the information panel I can still add multiple cover art, but cannot see them and cannot switch between them by using the little arrow. Though I have reported it dozens of time to the Apple support I never got an answer and this bug is still evident in 10.6.1. Very disappointing.
I have the same problem, reported it as well, have received no response. I would like to know if they plan to restore the artwork pane scroll arrows--ever.
I have embedded thousands of artwork jpegs in my itunes music library and am pissed that the arrows are gone. [email protected]
Still have the same problem and haven't heard anything from Apple on whether they plan to fix the disappearance of the artwork scroll arrows. If anyone has any info on a fix or an app that would allow me to access the thousands of jpegs I've imbedded please do so. By "access" I mean the ability to scroll thru multiple artwork and expand the said artwork. [email protected]
Kirk McElhearn, who writes our iTunes book, says that this appears to be a bug, rather than something Apple removed intentionally. If you have a developer account, it would be good to report this at
