Microsoft has issued version 14.5.3 of its Office 2011 suite to fix critical security issues. According to this Microsoft Security Bulletin, the update patches vulnerabilities that could allow remote code execution if a user opens a specially crafted file by correcting how Office handles files in memory, how Excel handles the loading of certain specially crafted binaries, and how memory information is disclosed.
