The Pixelmator Team has released version 3.7.5 of its original Pixelmator image editing app, which has now been joined by the more fully featured Pixelmator Pro. Pixelmator 3.7.5 makes some unspecified changes to improve compatibility with future versions of macOS, fixes a bug where merging clipping masks would create an empty layer, ensures that cutting and pasting of shapes works as expected, and eliminates crashes related to the Quick Selection Tool and Gradient Tool. For a limited time, the original Pixelmator is on sale for $14.99 (and Pixelmator Pro for $29.99) at the Mac App Store. ($29.99 new from the Mac App Store, free update, 107 MB, release notes, macOS 10.11+)
