Sandvox 2.5.3
Karelia has updated its Sandvox Web site creation software to version 2.5.3 with numerous small improvements and fixes. On the publishing front, the update improves stability during publishing and error handling with SFTP upload failures, fixes an issue with Facebook Comments administration, and fixes an issue that created incorrect HTML paths when exporting a site for the first time. The release also provides several media-related fixes, including audio and video compatibility with Internet Explorer 9 and 10, and ensuring raw Flash files will preview correctly within Sandvox. Other changes include the capability to add custom banners to Quick Look previews, and the immediate appearance of an object’s border in the Web view when
toggled. For a full rundown of the update’s fixes and improvements, be sure to check out the release notes. ($79.99 new from Karelia or the Mac App Store, free update, 28.2 MB)
I was an iWeb "orphan". I had made a list based site that had listed all my CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays. When I found out it was going to be another non supported Apple item... again (Apple HomePage) being the first, I panicked. I purchased a Web Page from Hover and began my search for a Web Page builder as elegant as iWeb. I tried 3 different web Page builders before trying Sandvox. As much as it worked it couldn't let me "free form" my pages. That is... put my text boxes and graphics on the page freely "by hand". My next move was to the Adobe (Beta) MUSE. This is a "free form" app. of the first degree. The problem with MUSE was that it takes so long to Save (Save changes to a page and Save to shut down) and to "upload" a site (3 hours or more). Anyhow all is mute because what Apple has done with iTunes and the iCloud I dont need to do anything but sit back and enjoy everything with my "new" iPad (third generation)... When I think of all the hours I spent making those lists
