Copy Excel Selection as a Picture

Want to show someone a chunk of an Excel spreadsheet via email or iChat? You could take a screenshot, but if you want to show just a portion of the Excel window and you don't use a utility like Snapz Pro, you can do this right from within Excel 2008. Make a selection, hold down the Shift key, and choose Copy Picture from the Edit menu. You can select whether the selection will be rendered as though it was shown on screen or as though it was printed. Then just switch to your desired destination and paste.

RSI Network Newsletter subscribers might have had problems receiving issue 17. Craig O'Donnell <dadadata@world.std.com> writes: "Thanks to a full moon and an unfortunate series of slip-ups somewhere out in Net-Land, the 17th RSI Network Newsletter mailing went awry. Some people didn't get a newsletter, but instead got a crabby message from some guy and ten or fifteen bounced mail messages. Some people got both the issue and the junk. I don't think anyone knows what happened but it's been fixed."

The RSI Network Newsletter discusses issues and ideas relating to repetitive stress injuries. If you want to subscribe, send a mail message to <majordomo@world.std.com> with this line into the body of your message (the Subject line doesn't matter):
