Email Woes Update -- Geoff is still recovering from his hard disk problems, and asks that you note that replies to email sent to him or to <editors@tidbits.com> are likely to be delayed. I have never seen Adam work so hard in the ten years I've known him; needless to say, replies to email sent to him are also likely to be delayed. I'm digging my way out of some 400 messages in my In box that I didn't get to while working on my part of the Internet Starter Kit, so I'll be replying to my email, albeit not as promptly as I'd prefer. Export Word 2008's Audio Notes to Your iPod
You can use Word 2008's Notebook Layout View to take notes and record audio for lectures. Choose View > Notebook Layout View. Click the Audio icon in the Notebook Layout toolbar and then adjust the input volume and click the round recording button. Any notes you type while recording audio are coordinated with the audio. Sync your notes to your iPod for on-the-go studying. Choose Tools > Audio Notes > Export Audio. Save the file to your iTunes music folder.
