Apple has made available its Security Update 2002-08-20, which helps prevent unwanted access to your Mac. Specifically, the update modifies components of Mac OS X to incorporate changes in OpenSSL 0.9.6g. The 2.2 MB download is available through Software Update under Mac OS X 10.1.5, or as a separate download from Apple. Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar likely doesn’t include these changes, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see the update appear soon after Jaguar is installed.
