Retrospect Updates Add Jaguar Compatibility

Dantz Development today released free updates to the different versions of their popular backup software. Retrospect 5.0.236 addresses a number of Jaguar-related problems, fixing automatic launching, deferring of backup server alerts, and startup authentication. Numerous other fixes improve overall behavior in Mac OS X, and for those still running Retrospect in Mac OS 9, scanning of client machines works much faster. Though most of the fixes are for people running Retrospect under Jaguar, and in Mac OS X in general, Dantz recommends that everyone upgrade. A variety of updates are available: the new version of Retrospect Server/Workgroup/Desktop with Retrospect Clients is an 18.8 MB download, Retrospect Server/Workgroup/Desktop by itself is 12.3 MB, Retrospect Express is 10.3 MB, and an installer for Retrospect Client version 5.0.540 (note the different version number) is 6.4 MB.
