1Password Developer Responds to NSA Concerns
In response to the wave of recent NSA revelations, 1Password developer AgileBits has posted reassurances on its blog that the popular password-storage software has not been compromised. AgileBits cites the verifiability of its data format, its lack of data collection, and the fact that the development team is spread out over the world, making it impossible for the United States government to silence it. AgileBits itself is a Canadian company.
"Has not been compromised" may either mean "we have not been cracked AND we haven't permitted a backdoor" OR "we haven't been cracked by an exploit of a weakness"
I say this because remaining silent about an exploit only the NSA could access and hasn't yet could hide in this like legaleze. I have lost all respect for the respect those who ought to protect us have for the standards we are taught make us unique.
We get our iPhones confiscated by the Police by being innocent bystanders filming arrests in the Public Domain - and do THEY break all the rules of Privacy ? ... of course they can and so they did and do.
