Adam Discusses CES 2015 on MacBreak Weekly
Adam Engst joined the regulars on MacBreak Weekly — Leo Laporte, Andy Ihnatko, and Rene Ritchie — to analyze the latest news and gadgets to come out of CES, ponder the future of HomeKit and home automation in general, look into what’s involved with the Thunderstrike attack, and go back and forth on what sizes of iPhones Apple should make. Highly recommended.
Watched it-Adam was very good as usual.
We do a fair number of podcasts and appearances, and sometimes they just go better, or are more insightful than the norm, so I like to mention when one stands out.
According to CNN, http://www.detoxmymac.org is the only thing that can save Apple products from the latest round of infections.
There is no software that can block Thunderstrike because it operates at a level below the operating system. Detox My Mac is completely useless against Thunderstrike.
This is the second comment recommending Detox My Mac from a new commenter on a TidBITS article that includes the word "Thunderstrike," which leads me to suspect the worst. Adding to the suspicion is the fact that I can't find any mention on CNN sites about Detox My Mac.
At this point, I would strongly warn readers away from Detox My Mac, purely on the basis of how it's being promoted with inaccurate information.
