WWDC 2026 Scheduled for June 8–12

Apple has announced that its 2026 Worldwide Developer Conference will take place from June 8 through June 12. It will be free and online, as in recent years, although Apple is once again hosting a special event at Apple Park on the first day for a set of randomly selected developers and students who request to attend.

WWDC 2026

Apple says, “WWDC26 will spotlight incredible updates for Apple platforms, including AI advancements and exciting new software and developer tools.”

It’s a safe bet that the opening day WWDC keynote will feature most, if not all, of the OS 27 operating systems, as well as the latest demo of the “more personalized” Siri that the company first promised in 2024 and has since delayed repeatedly. We’re looking forward to seeing whether any of these “AI advancements” seem likely to affect the overall Apple experience in ways that Apple Intelligence has not, as suggested in “How Siri Could Become the Mac’s New Help System” (9 February 2026).

  1. I put my name in the hat for in-person WWDC. I woke up this morning with a charge of heart and went to withdraw/cancel, only to find that they’ve since taken the page down! Curious.

Edit: page is back up. Decided to leave my name in the hat after all :upside_down_face:
