MacJury Podcast Pages through Electronic Readers
Chuck Joiner interviews a slew of electronic book authors about electronic book readers, like the Kindle and Nook. Chuck talks to Michael Cohen, Glenn Fleishman, Joe Kissell, Kirk McElhearn, and Matt Neuburg, all Take Control authors who have strong opinions about print books, too.
The intro to this podcast asks the question, "Who better to pass judgement on the current state of ebooks and ebook readers than a MacJury of Take Control ebook authors."
Well, how about somebody who *actually owns one*? By their own admissions, not one of the six panelists does, so this discussion is comparable to asking a person who doesn't own a car what he thinks of the latest models.
Except they've all written ebooks, have used ebook readers (including the iPhone, which many do own), and have a lot of interest and experience in the field. Ownership isn't a prerequisite for having an informed opinion.
That's also incorrect. Nearly all of us use Kindle for iPhone, and most of us have tested or temporarily owned (and returned) various models of Kindles, as well as having read books on various computers for many years.
Also, I can pronounce Hypnerotomachia Poliphili, so that has to count for something.
