Acorn 8.0.1

Flying Meat has issued Acorn 8.0.1, a maintenance update for the recently upgraded image editor (see “Acorn 8.0,” 20 December 2024). The release fixes a bug where canceling a Data Merge export wouldn’t reliably stop the export, resolves an issue where the RAW Import window would preview images with the wrong color profile, ensures the Data Merge palette appears when asked for, avoids a crash that could occur when exporting as an SVG, fixes a bug that caused the canvas checkboard background to get lighter colors when Dark Aqua was the current UI, and provides a color profile error workaround for Photos in macOS 15 Sequoia when using the Image > Edit With > Acorn menu item. Normally priced at $29.99, Acorn 8 is on sale for a limited time for $19.99 via both Flying Meat and the Mac App Store. ($29.99 new from Flying Meat and the Mac App Store, 20% discount for TidBITS members, 84.7 MB, release notes, macOS 14+)
