Acorn 8.3

Flying Meat has issued Acorn 8.3 with an option for using the new Liquid Glass user interface in macOS 26 Tahoe. The release also introduces a new Appearance Settings tab that enables you to turn the Liquid Glass palettes on and off. More functionally, the image editor updates the Clone Tool so that it draws the on-canvas brush preview with a bit of transparency for more accurate brushing, improves internal logic for opening images without a file extension, resolves an issue where the app could get stuck at a specific zoom level, fixes a bug where using the Clone Tool when zoomed way in could make your cloned areas a little blurry, and cleans up button spacing in the Settings window. For a limited time, you can save $5 on Acorn when purchased from either the Flying Meat site or the Mac App Store. ($29.99 new from Flying Meat and the Mac App Store, 20% discount for TidBITS members, free update, 88.2 MB, release notes, macOS 14+)
