Acorn 8.4.1

Flying Meat has released Acorn 8.4.1 with tweaks to how Animated GIF, Animated PNG, and SVG previews are rendered on export. The image editor now ensures that scaling, panning, and comparing to the original work exactly as they do for other formats (excluding PDFs) and adds a split view for comparing animated images. The update also resolves an issue that caused an image to open with a blank white canvas, fixes a bug in which the custom color well in the Canvas Resize wasn’t working correctly, ensures the color profile is embedded when using a custom AVIF encoder, and updates the French and German localizations. ($29.99 new from Flying Meat and the Mac App Store, 20% discount for TidBITS members, free update, 87.4 MB, release notes, macOS 14+)
