Default Folder X 6.2

St. Clair Software has released Default Folder X 6.2 with support for macOS 26 Tahoe and a bug workaround for Adobe Creative Cloud 2025 apps. The Open/Save dialog utility updates the Finder toolbar buttons to work better in macOS 11 Big Sur and later, resolves an issue that resulted in incorrect text selection in Save As dialogs in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, ensures the Open With submenu works more smoothly, now considers any file or folder added to the Downloads folder as a recent item, fixes a bug that prevented Save Actions from running after saving a file if the Actions tab wasn’t visible in the Save dialog, adds GetCurrentSet to the app’s AppleScript dictionary and Shortcut actions to get the current folder set in scripts or shortcuts, eliminates visual glitches in the path control located above the file listing in Open and Save dialogs, and ensures pop-up menus are no longer covered by other menus in apps like Ableton Live. ($39.95 new, free update, TidBITS members save $10 on new copies and $5 on upgrades, in Setapp, 27.5 MB, release notes, macOS 10.13+)
