HoudahGeo 7.0.4

Houdah Software has updated its HoudahGeo geotagging app to version 7, bringing support for adding location data to videos and introducing a new Camera Setup tool. With a refreshed, modern user interface, HoudahGeo 7 now enables you to geotag videos as well as photos, adds a new Camera Setup feature for more accurate timestamps and better control over camera time offsets, introduces Organized Places for better management of recurring locations, improves Photos integration with faster imports and smoother browsing, and makes the map interface more clear and interactive.

Following this release, Houdah issued a few maintenance updates to bring HoudahGeo to version 7.0.4. Along the way, the updates addressed an issue where HoudahGeo erroneously reported some file formats as not being supported, added an option to hide the toolbar to make more space for content, and allowed the main window to be resized to fit screens 800 pixels in height.

HoudahGeo 7 costs $39 for new licenses, and owners of previous licenses can upgrade to version 7 for $24. With version 7, HoudahGeo also adopts a “modern licensing system” where every perpetual license includes 12 months of free updates and upgrades. After that 12-month period, you can extend your update period at a discounted rate. Purchases made after 1 May 2024 include updates for one year after the purchase date, or through at least 31 October 2025.
