Pixelmator 3.7.1

The Pixelmator Team has released version 3.7.1 of its original Pixelmator image editing app, which has now been joined by the more fully featured Pixelmator Pro. Pixelmator 3.7.1 gains support for exporting images in HEIF format and a new Vignette effect that can artistically fade the edges of an image. The update also fixes various issues with the Pixelmator Retouch and Distort extensions for Apple’s Photos app, resolves a crash that occurred when zooming or opening images, and enables you to adjust brush softness using the Pixelmator Retouch extension’s Shift-Square bracket keyboard shortcut. Note that the Web Colors tab is no longer available from the Colors window in macOS 10.13 High Sierra due to a sandboxing issue, but this Pixelmator Community thread offers a solution for bringing it back. ($29.99 new from the Mac App Store, free update, 78.8 MB, release notes, macOS 10.11+)
