Rogue Amoeba has released SoundSource 6.0.5 with several improvements to AirPlay streaming. The audio control utility now automatically connects to AirPlay devices on launch when they are set as preferred output devices, ensures AirPlay devices no longer remain cached or visible when switching wireless networks, and improves initial sync when AirPlay and regular devices are used together in an output group. The update also updates the audio-handling ARK plugin to version 13.1 (eliminating the need to enter your administrator password for future updates), ensures auto-connection and error reporting behave correctly when AirPods are part of a device group, correctly clears custom keyboard shortcuts when selecting Reset to Defaults, corrects a few interface inconsistencies, and improves reliability when switching between standard outputs and Multi-Output devices.
