SuperDuper 3.11

Shirt Pocket has published SuperDuper 3.11 with initial support for macOS 26 Tahoe. (Users running Tahoe will be automatically offered the 3.20 beta version, which is stable but does not support the Liquid Glass theme.) The backup app now tracks, displays, and logs the Smart Update metrics for items deleted from the destination volume, provides easier access to saved copy scripts, improves reliability of the Automatic Update feature, offers more convenient access to scheduled copy logs, resolves privilege escalation and sensitive data access vulnerabilities with improved checks, improves the reliability of unmounting existing SuperDuper snapshots, and corrects some items that displayed with insufficient contrast under Dark mode. (Free for basic functionality, $27.95 for additional features, free update, 9.9 MB, release notes, macOS 10.13+)

  1. Note the release notes in the Shirt Pocket blog. 3.11 fixes some security issues:

    • Since one of the issues affects a possible hijack of the auto-update mechanism, you’re advised to update to 3.11 by downloading directly from the Shirt Pocket website.
    • If you are not going to upgrade to 3.11, the release notes gives instructions for ways to mitigate the security risks
