Typinator 10.1
Ergonis has issued Typinator 10.1 with an at-a-glance display of statistics showing time saved, expansions, and corrections (as well as a shareable statistics card for social media). The text expansion utility also significantly improves expansion reliability across all applications, makes major sync stability enhancements with better error reporting, improves performance for large abbreviation sets, enhances password field handling with better multiline and whitespace support, and adds Spotlight support in app settings. ($49.99 one-time or $29.99 annual subscription with a 25% discount for TidBITS members, upgrade discounts available to previous owners, 47.5 MB, release notes, macOS 13+)
I use it a lot on may two Macs. Works great.
But I am (was) nor happy with the way how it works on my iPhone. I has to use a different keyboard, and it qas a different way to use it compared to the Apple keyboard. So here I deinstalled it again … Disappointing, but the “problems” occur due to Apple restriction, I guess.
I use typinzator all the time. My only frustration is when I try to upgrade they never recognize my previous version’s license code. It is very frustrating, especially as it is probably the most used app I have! If you do not have it, I strongly recommend it. I’m hoping that Ergonis get’s its act together eventually. They have several software offerings that are excellent.
