Ulysses 39

Ulysses has released version 39 of its eponymous writing app, a major upgrade that fully embraces Apple’s Liquid Glass design language and brings some handy new features. The app redesigns and reworks buttons and toolbars, both sidebars (library and dashboard), menus, and contextual menus. The advanced text check (previously known as Revision Mode) has been moved into the main dashboard, and checks are initiated by simply activating the tab. Ulysses 39 also reworks physical keyboard navigation (such as adding left/right arrows to switch between panes), enables you to share whole projects as a zipped archive, enables you to copy texts for use on Substack and Basecamp with most formatting supported (but not images), allows actions to be triggered directly from Spotlight in macOS 26 Tahoe, updates Quick Open to find sheets and groups from archived projects, fixes a bug with copy and paste of code snippets, resolves several crashes, and updates the minimum system requirement to macOS 14 Sonoma. ($5.99/$39.99 monthly/yearly subscription from the Mac App Store, in Setapp, free update, 41.5 MB, release notes, macOS 14+)
