Instacast for Mac 1.0.1

Vemedio has released the first update for Instacast for Mac (see “Instacast for Mac Fills the Desktop Podcatcher Gap,” 31 May 2013), which fixes playback in OS X 10.9 and adds support for the new App Nap feature in OS X 10.9. Other new features include support for protected feeds, a Portuguese localization, the AirPlay button now lights up when streaming over Bluetooth, improved energy efficiency while idle, and Instacast now waits for sync before quitting, which improves sync reliability. Bug fixes include improved updating playback speed while changing settings, improved reading MP3 chapter information, an issue that
caused Auto-Flattr not to end, unspecified localization issues, list counts and episode lists that wouldn’t update, podcast names that wouldn’t restore after a refresh, an empty directory when British English was set as the default language, selection when ordering subscriptions, an issue with custom sort order, and empty subscription lists that would display false episodes.
