Upcoming NMUG Presentation on the Phone App’s Classic and Unified Views

Last year, I wrote the detailed “Comparing the Classic and Unified Views in iOS 26’s Phone App” (10 November 2025). I went into the article assuming Apple was just redesigning a long-standing app to give it a new look, so I was somewhat surprised to discover that the Unified view makes some call-related tasks slightly easier and had one huge benefit—it nearly eliminates accidental-tap calls. But Apple also made some thoroughly weird choices surrounding the Phone app’s interface. I’ll be revisiting this topic in a live presentation for the energetic Naples MacFriends User Group (NMUG), so if you hate making accidental calls or are curious about what else the Unified view offers, come to the free online meeting this Wednesday, 17 June 2026, at 11:30 AM EDT.
