Apple CEO Tim Cook has once again come out in favor of regulation of the tech industry, even as he expressed distrust of government intervention.
During a speech in Brussels, Apple CEO Tim Cook reiterated Apple’s strong privacy stance and advocated for GDPR-like laws both in the United States and around the world.
Europeans have been able to download all of their Apple data for a few months, and now US residents can do the same.
Apple now allows Europeans to download most of the data linked to an Apple ID that is stored on their servers. Kirk McElhearn tried it out to see what data was available and how complex the process was.
