Apple has released a list of enhancements coming to Apple services with the next versions of its operating systems.

Apple unveiled macOS 11.0 Big Sur during the WWDC keynote, showing off overhauls of Messages and Maps, while improving Safari, Photos, and other apps. Mail was conspicuously absent for now.

iOS 14 promises a tight package of new features, many of which have existed in Google’s Android for years, while iPadOS 14 takes those features and mixes in a bit of Newton handwriting recognition. Egg freckles, anyone?

You are on a tour bus in an unfamiliar city and you see something that you’d like to visit later. Take a picture of it with your iPhone, and the Places feature in the Photos app can locate it for you. With a new feature in Photos in iOS 13, you can even get directions to get back there!

iOS 13.1 is here to fix numerous bugs in the short-lived iOS 13.0 and to provide some features that were missing from iOS 13’s initial release. Alas, there are still more features that Apple has pushed off to a future iOS update.
