Apple has announced the dates for WWDC 2019—mark your calendars for June 3–7, when we’ll learn about the next generation of each of Apple’s operating systems. Apple has also quietly released the fifth-generation iPad mini with Apple Pencil support and retooled the 10.5-inch iPad Pro as the third-generation iPad Air. In other news, file-syncing service Dropbox is now limiting free users to three devices at a time, and CorelDRAW has returned to the Mac after 18 years away—is it worth the asking price? CorelDRAW Comes Back to the Mac

After an 18-year absence, the CorelDRAW vector graphics editor returns to macOS in a graphics suite that also includes a photo editor and font manager, as well as a cloud-based app for on-the-go design work. Further showing its renewed interest in the Mac, Corel has also acquired virtualization company Parallels.

It’s Frustrating That Preview in Mojave Isn’t Better

After taking a close look at Preview in Mojave while updating “Take Control of Preview,” Adam Engst comes away disappointed. The new features aren’t impressive, one notable change is actively bad, and there are new bugs. But he’d still like to see Apple enhance the still-powerful graphics and PDF editor.
